Privacy Policy
The short version
This site runs entirely in your browser. We do not require accounts, we do not set our own cookies, and we do not build profiles of you. Your location, if you choose to share it, is used once to find restaurants near you and is never stored by us.
1. Location data (Near Me mode)
The "Near Me" feature only works if you explicitly grant location permission through your browser. When you do:
- Your approximate coordinates are sent in a single query to the Overpass API (overpass-api.de), a public OpenStreetMap service, solely to find restaurants within about 3 km of you.
- We do not store, log, or transmit your location anywhere else. It is discarded when you close the page.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in your browser settings, and the site works fully without it.
2. Third-party services
To function, the site loads resources from third parties, which receive your IP address as part of any normal web request:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — typefaces.
- Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org) — landmark photographs.
- Overpass API / OpenStreetMap — nearby restaurant search, only in Near Me mode.
- Google Maps — only if you click an "Open in Maps" link, which takes you to Google's site under Google's own privacy policy.
These services operate under their own privacy policies. We do not control the data they process.
3. Advertising and analytics

5. What we store on your device
Nothing, at present. The wheel's memory of which restaurants you have already landed on lives only for the current page session and vanishes when you leave.

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. This site is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country).
