Van Hunks and the Devil
The pirate Van Hunks sat smoking on the mountain beside Table Mountain when a stranger in black challenged him to a contest. They puffed for days until the stranger's hat slipped, showing horns. When the white 'tablecloth' cloud pours over Table Mountain, Capetonians say the two are at it again.
