The Ghost of William Terriss

Actor William Terriss, a regular at the Covent Garden tables, was stabbed at the Adelphi's stage door in 1897. His last words promised he would return — and stationmasters at Covent Garden tube have reported a tall figure in a grey frock coat ever since, appearing just before the last train.
